This platform utilises third-party flight detail APIs, offering agents a range of options such as one-way, round-trip, fare types, and airline filters, including special filters like Instant Purchase and SME. Agents faced challenges with the complexity of the API provider's interface, making it difficult to navigate and compare options. When Tripperway decided to build their own platform from scratch, the major challenge was to incorporate these diverse options while ensuring a user-friendly and easily comparable interface for their agents.
Though primarily designed for booking agents, the platform is also accessible to general users, who don't have access to special filters. With many users booking tickets via mobile devices, it was essential to optimise the platform for mobile view, ensuring that ticket booking is as seamless and intuitive on mobile as it is on desktop.
To address the complexity of the third-party flight detail APIs, We designed and developed a custom platform from the ground up. This new system integrates diverse options such as one-way, round-trip, fare types, and airline filters, including special filters like Instant Purchase and SME, into an intuitive, easy-to-navigate interface. Agents could compare these, see information without opening a modal. The streamlined design ensures that booking agents can quickly and efficiently compare and select the best options for their clients, overcoming the previous challenges and enhancing overall user experience.
To ensure a smooth experience for all users, including general travellers who do not have access to special filters, Tripperway implemented a responsive design optimized for mobile devices. This design adapts the platform’s features to mobile screens, maintaining ease of use and functionality. By mirroring the intuitive desktop experience on mobile, users can book tickets effortlessly and efficiently, regardless of the device they are using.
